Alabama running back Kenyan Drake was arrested in Tuscaloosa, Alabama early Saturday morning. According to multiple reports, Drake was arrested for obstructing governmental operations. His car was reportedly parked in the middle of a crime scene, and he allegedly lifted up police tape to get to his vehicle.
Nick Saban is aware of the situation, and he recently commented on his running back’s arrest saying, "I'm aware of the situation with Kenyan and will handle it once I've had a chance to review he inofrmation and talk to the appropriate people."
Drake is expected to be a major contributor to the Crimson Tide this fall. He’s projected to split carries with fellow running backs T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry.
Alabama opens its season Aug. 30 against West Virginia.
