Metallica's James Hetfield Takes a Nasty Fall During Amsterdam Show

Metallica's James Hetfield is lucky to get away uninjured after taking a nasty fall on stage during their performance of  “Now That We’re Dead” at their September 4th show in Amsterdam.

In the clip above, the frontman for the iconic Thrash band fell into one of the four gaps on their custom built stage designed to elevate percussion from underneath for Lars Ulrich's kit. Hetfield smacks his face on the floor after falling into the hole and crew members immediately rush out to help him. He brushes it off like the true rock star he is, telling the crowd, "yes, I'm ok. My ego, not so much."

Hetfield is no stranger to onstage injuries and seriously burned himself when he stood too close to pyrotechnics during their 1992 tour with Guns N' Roses
