Missing Hunter Survives Two Days In Wilderness Amid Snowstorm

A hunter from out of state survived two nights in the northern Colorado wilderness during an "intense early season snowstorm" before being rescued. The hunter, who became separated from his group, faced challenging conditions but was eventually found safe. Search and rescue teams from 19 different agencies collaborated in the rescue operation, demonstrating a significant effort to locate and save the missing individual.

This incident follows a series of unfortunate events in southern Colorado, where several hunters have died in recent weeks. “After last week’s terrible news about the hunters in southern CO, we are ecstatic to share good news about a hunter who survived 2 nights in the alpine during an intense early season snowstorm,” Routt County Search and Rescue said on Facebook. “It is an honor to work alongside these incredible agencies (19 total) all collaborating together towards a successful outcome.”
